All organic materials are grown without chemical pesticides or chemical fertilizers and are free from genetically modified organisms. This means less damage to the environment and to farmers working in the fields. In organic production, all resources, such as energy, land and water, are used in a long-term and sustainable way.

That means that the manufacturers have set higher demands on chemicals used in production than legally required and/or that they take responsibility of the social welfare of the workers.
